conservatism is much like Libertarianism = smaller government, lower taxes, more domestic energy production (oil and otherwise) and strict adherence to the constitution of the united states

Another Corrupt Obama Staffer (Top of the Food(stamp) Chain)
Jarrett Managed Housing Project Deemed "Uninhabitable"
Judicial Watch, the public interest group that investigates and prosecutes government corruption, announced today that it has obtained documents linking Valerie Jarrett, an advisor to Barack Obama and the co-chairman of the President-Elect's transition team, to a series of real estate scandals, including several housing projects operated by convicted felon and Obama fundraiser/friend Antoin "Tony" Rezko.
According to the documents obtained by Judicial Watch from the Illinois Secretary of State, Valerie Jarrett served as a board member for several organizations that provided funding and support for Chicago housing projects operated by real estate developers and Obama financial backers Rezko and Allison Davis. (Davis is also Obama's former boss.) Jarrett was a member of the Board of Directors for the Woodlawn Preservation and Investment Corporation along with several Davis and Rezko associates, as well as the Fund for Community Redevelopment and Revitalization, an organization that worked with Rezko and Davis.
(According to press reports, housing projects operated by Davis and Rezko have been substandard and beset with code violations. The Chicago Sun Times reported that one Rezko-managed housing project was "riddled with problems -- including squalid living conditions...lack of heat, squatters and drug dealers.")Union Bailout
As we wait on Reid/Pelosi and their cohorts (with much pressure from the President-Elect) for the details of the proposed bailout of the big 3 automakers, let us remember that this is not really a bailout for the automakers, rather a bailout for UAW and it's big labor pension fund. If there is no bailout, the US automakers will be forced into bankruptcy re-organization. This does NOT put them out of business, rather it allows them to re-organize their debt and come out lean and mean. The MSM and liberals on the Hill would have you believe that this would cause a monumental loss for this country at a time when we can ill afford such a loss. I put to you that it would be a good thing. First of all, maybe the big 3 can finally get out of the clutches of the UAW. IF they get a bailout, there is a $7B payout that will go to the union pension fund. No bailout means no payment to the fund. When airlines and other businesses hit the wall, they file BK and re-organize from the top, down. This always makes for a better company on the other side. IF the big 3 get another $25B, we are sending a message that taxpayers will help you, big business, as long as there are a LOT of union members who can vote for us in four years! Allow this to take on it's own shape, without government intervention. Let the US automakers take a page from the S. Korean and Japanese makers who have set up shop in the US. Move the plants to the middle of the country, or to the southeast, where the labor unions don't have a stranglehold and rent is cheaper. Get lean, make efficient vehicles that we all can afford and you'll be just fine. Cowtow to the liberals in government and your businesses will all die. Oh, by the way, when you file BK, all of the top execs go too!

Racism lives in Presidential Election
NBC News is beside themselves this morning, going as far as saying that racial barriers have been broken down in this "historic" election. I agree that it is historic. It is the first time in modern history that 95% of one race voted for the candidate of that same race, while there were two different races running for office. I think it's fair to assume that if 95% of whites had voted for McCain, we would be hearing a MUCH different commentary this morning, not to mention the reports of riots and violence against whites all across this nation. Since, in this case, it appears 95% of blacks voted for Obama, it's A-OK, even celebrated! I ask now that Black America stop whining about inequality, as it is painfully clear that there is no racial bias in this country towards blacks. There IS however still racial bias against whites and it is now being shown by our media with pride. In four years we will be asked to make another decision. Once it is shown that Obama is just speeches (that doesn't work when you are President), will we decide based on emotion or will we return to common sense? It remains to be seen.
